Hard-hitting Lock Dallas Johnson has signed a new three-year contract with the Melbourne Strom.
Johnson’s contract negotiation had to be put on hold as teammate, Israel Folau, weighed up offers between rival clubs before finally decided to go with the Bronco’s due to religious and family commitments.
Johnson said that club loyalty was what made him decide to stay and play for the Storm for another three years.
Johnson made his first NRL debut with the Storm in 2003 and since then he has cemented his place as a first class player.
He has played six State of Origins and made his first Australian debut against New Zealand last year.
As part of the leadership group he is respected by his teammates as well as his coach and staff.
“You know every time Dallas puts on the Storm Jersey he will give everything he’s got to win,” said Craig Bellamy.
